Tire Tread SDK for Android - Overview
Requirements
To use the Anyline Tire Tread SDK on Android, you will need an Android device that meets only three requirements:
-
Android SDK Level >= 21
-
Decent camera functionality (recommended: ≥ 720p and adequate auto focus)
-
Stable internet connectivity
Although not required, a device with 'Flash' capability is highly recommended.
Implementation
At minimum, implementing the Anyline Tire Tread SDK will require two steps:
1. Anyline Tire Tread SDK initialization
The function AnylineTireTreadSdk.init
is responsible for initializing the Anyline Tire Tread SDK with your License Key. It needs to be called only once, and before running any other Anyline Tire Tread SDK-related tasks.
2. TireTreadScanView implementation
The TireTreadScanView
is an UI element which extends the android.view.ViewGroup
, thus it can be directly placed in your Layout along with other views.
This view handles capturing images from the camera, and provides functions for you to start and end the scan process, as well as the distance information, that you can use to guide the scan process.
